Camp Fire Information

I got the basis for this from the internet from an activity center. Check it careful before you use it yourself to make sure it covers the risks for your particular campfire.

The overall risk is a score from 1 to 25, the higher the score the more dangerous the activity is. Generally a score of 25 means that someone will die each time you run the activity.

Summary:
Have water buckets nearby in case of burns.
Have a first aid kit available
Clear the area people are going to walk over from tripping hazards
Have a specified seating area, away from smoke and sparks
Seating should be sound (No rocking logs to sit on?)
Keep the group under control
Have torches for the audience to see to get away at the end.
Campfire leader or a specified designated leader to monitor the groups behaviour and watch for hazards occurring

The campfire builder and campfire leader should use their experience to set safe distances from the fire for the campfire participants for seating and sketch areas.
